Sarah is currently based in Brooklyn, NY, where she is pursuing the Master of Industrial Design program at Pratt Institute. Prior to graduate school, she attended Carnegie Mellon University, where she earned a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and worked as a software engineer for three years.
Her experiences working in the tech industry, living in one of the world’s most diverse and globally connected cities, and upbringing across various landscapes have heightened her awareness of the dualities and limitations of digital products in everyday life and the systems people move through, which informs her approach to creating designs that rebuild trust in instincts and foster more sustainable relationships between identities, environments, and communities.
Her work centers on bridging products and people, ensuring that the innovations of the modern world are purposed for human values. As design is a celebration of the human experience, her process involves thorough explorations of peoples and frameworks to unveil shared insights that guide elegant, meaningful, and timeless designs.
